YEESMA wants to transform sustainability and cost
from a dream, to a vision, to a reality.
With over 35 years in the automotive and electric motor industry, Philippe Siad FARAH, our Co-founder of YEESMA, shares the why behind their journey:
A vision to remove rare-earth magnets from electric motors—not just to reduce costs, but to solve real issues of sustainability, supply chain risk, and environmental harm.
Rare-Earth Free vs. Bulkier Motor & Expensive Inverter
Many are turning to synchronous reluctance motors to reduce the use of rare-earth magnets and achieve the same torque and power ratings, the overall package becomes 30–40% larger and the inverter requires higher phase current. In the end, it is not cheaper for the whole packaging.
As an axial flux EESM, YEESMA is more compact, requires lower phase current. Hence it reduces inverter costs. Put it simply: a cheaper motor and a cheaper inverter. That’s how we deliver significant reductions in overall BOM costs.
